Overuse of antibiotics can lead to development of resistant bacteria which can cause serious infections.
Help conserve antibiotics so they remain effective. Most sore throats, colds, coughs and ear infections will improve with rest and fluids. If you have any concerns speak to your pharmacist or contact the surgery.
At Woodhouse Hill Surgery, like the rest of the country, we are trying to reduce our antibiotic prescribing but can only do this with the help of our patients. We hosted an antibiotics awareness evening on 23rd November 2021 which was well received by patients.
