Breast Cancer

Pennine Breast Screening are working with Woodhouse Hill Surgery and contacting patient to attend breast screening at The Chestnut Centre or Princess Royal – you should receive a letter through the post, if you have any problems contact the screening team on 01274 365521.

Bowel Cancer 

The National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme send out Faecal Immunochemical Test (FITS) kits in the post to patient who are eligible for screening. You simply complete the sample and send it back in the pack provided. Please contact the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme on 0800 707 60 60 who will be happy to send you a FIT kit.

Cervical Cancer

Female patient aged 25 and over are invited by the surgery to have a cervical smear this is done at Woodhouse Hill Surgery by the practice nurse on a Wednesday. Screening can detect abnormal cell changes that could potentially develop into cervical cancer. Call 01484 533833 or make a 20 min appointment online with Nurse Andrea.
