Cancer Awareness & Cake Sale at Woodhouse Hill Surgery

We are pleased to invite patients and members of the community to a special event here at the surgery. On Tuesday 27th January at 1.30pm, we will be hosting a Cancer Awareness & Cake Sale to help raise awareness, provide information, and support an important cause.

Cakes will be available to purchase on the day, and all proceeds from the cake sale will go directly to Kirkwood Hospice in support of the amazing work they do for individuals and families affected by life-limiting illnesses.

During the event, there will be informative talks on cancer awareness and screening, including topics such as breast cancer, cervical screening (smear tests), prostate cancer, and other key cancer-related information. The focus will be on early detection, risk awareness, and when to seek help.

Representatives from Kirkwood Hospice will be attending to speak about their work, services, and mission. In addition, Pennine Breast Screening will be present to provide information and a talk on breast cancer screening, early warning signs, prevention, and resources available for patients.

We look forward to welcoming you and hope this event will bring our community together, increase awareness, and contribute to a valuable cause.
